A UX project that proposes an impactful solution to an identified issue of a selected target demographic.


Overview     
An RMIT studio lead presented a brief to identify and investigate a demographic group of a student’s preference. Upon research, students were required to propose a design concept in response to identified problems (with consideration of the user demographic and user contexts). The solution aimed to provide delightful user experience that purposely seeks connection and empathy.


Target Demographic Group

Exploring the context of road accidents, in-depth conversations were had and recorded between 6 individuals (aged between 20 - 57 years old). 

Various sources of primary and secondary research were observed and analysed to form a comprehensive understanding of the issues impacting the group and their driving behaviours.

Quantitative and qualitative data research data indicated a necessity for emphasise to be place on ‘young people who have been involved in a road accident’.


Observed Pain Points



01. Distraction by phone notifications whilst driving.

02. Individuals do not enjoy congested traffic conditions and often associate stress/anxiety with this.

03. They are each conscious of poor phone habits in their lifestyle although there is lack of personal action taken to address this.

04. There is an underlying psychological need for young drivers to stay connected with others even while on the road.
